![]() I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling VirtualBox a few times to no avail, and I'm almost at my wits end. Hyper-V is headless virtualization that runs directly on the hardware, where Virtualbox requires an OS and is a virtualization application that runs on your desktop. ![]() When I go into the BIOS settings, I can't find anything relating to virtualization (In my case it would be the AMD-V setting). Hyper-V and Virtualbox are not in the same category. ![]() I know that Hyper-V and Vbox don't coexist well in the same windows installation, but is there any way that me installing Hyper-V core on a different HD affected my system? All I could figure is that it changed some virtualization setting in the BIOS, but Now when I attempt to start any of my VirtualBox VM's, I get an error that says "Error: Failed to open a session for the virtual machine". I actually physically swapped the hard drive out for a new one, and then installed Hyper-V Core on the new hard drive. I currently have a machine running Windows 7 with a couple Virtual Box VMs that run on it.
